INGREDIENTS
1½ Toor DaalSalt to taste 2 teaspoon Tumeric 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds1 Star anise1 kg meat/ Chicken2 OnionGreen chillies to taste2 tablespoon Garlic and ginger paste3 Tomatoes, chopped2 teaspoon Coriander Powder2 teaspoon Cumin powder1 teaspoon Chilli powderFresh coriander and mint1 teaspoon Garam masala
METHOD
Boil 1 & ½ cup toor daal (greasy daal) with 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds and 2 star anise
After around 20 minutes add 1kg meat/chicken filletSeperately in a pan,Heat oil and add 2 medium chopped onions & slit green chilli, once nearly brown add crushed green chilli, 2 tablespoon garlic ginger(fresh if possible) and cook for a couple minutes
Add 3 chopped tomatoes and let this cook.
Now add salt,½ teaspoon turmeric, 2 teaspoon coriander powder, 1 teaspoon cumin powder, 1 teaspoon chilli powder & cook your masala.
Add chopped coriander & mint
Once daal and meat has boiled add the tadka to it
Add garam masala and garnish with coriander
Mix well taste adjust salt/spice if needeEnjoy on rice with achaar and aloo fry
