Crispy outside, juicy tandoori chicken inside 🤍

RECIPE
1 kg chicken fillet, cut into small stripsDrain the chicken completely
Marinade:
• ½ box Shan Tandoori Masala• 1½ teaspoon chilli powder• ⅓ cup yoghurt (Inkomazi) (original recipe uses ¼ tin dessert cream)• 4 tablespoon maizena (corn flour) (cornflour)• Salt to taste• ¼ teaspoon red food colouring• ¼ teaspoon orange food colouring
For wrapping:
• Large spring roll sheets• Flour + water paste (for sealing)• Oil for frying
Method
Prepare the chicken
Cut chicken into small strips and drain well to remove excess moisture.
Marinate
In a bowl, combine all marinade ingredients.Add the chicken strips and mix well until evenly coated.
Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight for best flavour).
Mix in fresh coriander if desired ☘️
Wrap
Cut each large spring roll sheet into 3 strips.Place one piece of marinated chicken onto a strip and roll firmly.Seal with flour-and-water paste.Leave the sides open so the chicken cooks through.FreezeArrange rolls on a tray and freeze until firm.(Once frozen, transfer to an airtight container.)FryFry from frozen in oil over slow to medium heat until golden and cooked through.
Serve
Serve hot and crispy. Enjoy 😋
