INGREDIENTS
½ cup pasta shells
1 teaspoon chopped olive oil
1 tablespoon chopped onion
1.5 tablespoon chopped carrot
1 tablespoon copped peppers
For 1000 island dressing:
½ cup mayonnaise/natural yoghurt
½ teaspoon mustard powder
¼ teaspoon sugar (optional)
1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon green chilli paste (optional)
Salt to taste
METHOD
Boil water and add pasta along with required salt and oil.
Drain water and keep the pasta aside.
Powder mustard seeds to a semi fine powder.
Chop the veggies into lengthwise strips.
Mix them with little salt and keep aside.
In a mixing bowl - add yogurt,mustard powder.
Then add freshly ground pepper powder and chilli paste.
Add the pasta, veggies, salt to taste and give a quick stir.
INFO & TIPS
Serve immediately.
