2 and ¼ cups cake flour. ½ teaspoon bicarb of soda 2 teaspoon baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon cinnamon ½ teaspoon mixed spice 1 cup golden brown sugar 1 egg lightly beaten 1 cup buttermilk 3 tablespoons melted butter 1 cup chopped pecan nuts
Sift dry ingerdients together. Add in sugar. Mix egg, buttermilk and butter together and add to dry ingredients. Mix well. Add in pecan nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 180 for 35 to 40 minutes. Sauce: melt caramel treat and pour over. Decorate with whole pecan nuts.
