INGREDIENTS
Ingredients: Base
125g butter
2 cups flour
½ cup white sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
pinch of salt
1 egg
Ingredients: Filling
2 cups milk
¼ cup white sugar
2-3 sticks cinnamon
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon maizena (corn flour)
1 tablespoon custard powder
1 tablespoon butter
cinnamon powder for sprinkling
METHOD
Method: BasePreheat oven to 180 degrees. Mix butter & sugar in bowl until light & fluffy. Add egg, flour, baking powder & salt. Mix well and knead to a pliable dough. Roll out into a circle & line the inside of the foil baking tray with the dough. Bake in oven until light brown. Remove & allow to cool.
Method: FillingDilute the maizena (corn flour), flour & custard in the milk & leave aside. Add butter, sugar & cinnamon sticks in to a pot & stir until butter melts. Add the milk mixture into the pot. Keep stirring until mixture thickens. Remove from stove. Remove the cinnamon sticks & add mixture into foil tray with baked lining. Sprinkle top with cinnamon powder & refrigerate. Enjoy !!!
