INGREDIENTS
½ kg rump steak
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
½ teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon red chilli paste ( you can add more if you eat strong )
1 teaspoon dhana powder
1 tablespoon steak and chops spice
½ teaspoon Portuguese spice
½ teaspoon crushed pepper
1 teaspoon crushed red chillies
Squeeze of fresh lemon
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 teaspoon wellingtons hot peri peri sauce
1 teaspoon Worcester
1 tablespoon mayo
Oil
Salt to taste ( note roberstonson spices are salty )
1 jalapeno - remove the pits from inside - slit into 6 to 8 pieces and fry in alittle oil for garnishing ( optional )
METHOD
in saucepan add all the ingredients and mix well , forming a paste , add the steak and leave to marinade for atleast 3 hours or over night . Let this cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes , add about ½ litre water , lower the heat and cook on low until steak has become soft and tender add more water and cook if necessary.Serve with roti , put or rice .
