100g Butter½ cup sugar250g dates (deseeded and chopped)
Melt together in pot on low heat.
Remove from heatAdd 1 beaten eggMix vigorouslyNow add ½ roll of marie biscuits broken into pieces(must not be crushed). Mix well.Leave mixture to set. Roll into bite sized balls. Dip each ball in dessicated coconut. Ready to serve.
METHOD
You may also set mixture by patting into a pyrex topping with coconut and cutting into squares to serve once set orSpread coconut on the foil everywhere, place this mixture length wise in thick roll shape and wrap in foil.Now let the roll set. Remove foil.Cut in slices and then serve.
