INGREDIENTS
1 chicken
1 tablespoon ground ginger/garlic
1 small tin tomato puree
1 tablespoon crushed jeeru (cumin)
1 tablespoon fresh red chillies
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 ¼ teaspoon salt (to taste)
1 teaspoon oil
250ml yoghurt
Sauce:
Left over masala
1 tablespoon butter/margarine (I used liquid Flora Cuisine)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
METHOD
1. mix all the ingredients together and marinate chicken overnight (the longer the better)
2. Cook in oven or in a pot on the stove.
3. When done, place under a grill for 5 minutes just to brown
4. In a separate saucepan, take some of the extra masala (there will be from the chicken), and add the butter and lemon juice.
5. Pour over chicken or serve separately.
6. Garnish with dhania (coriander) for a complete effect and to add freshness to the dish.
INFO & TIPS
The sauce itself is absolutely delicious. I had it on its own with a piece of garlic bread- yum!
Simple but amazing recipe , you wont go wrong Inshallah.
