INGREDIENTS
Custard Slice

Dough
3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Melt 125g butter and rub into flour mixture.
Beat 2 eggs with 1 teaspoon vanilla essence and add to dough. Make a soft but manageable dough using cold milk. You will need between half to 1 cup milk.
Allow dough to rest for 30 minutes.
Make into 9 balls and roll out. Bake at 200 degrees till light brown.
Custard
1.5 litres milk
1 cup sugar
6 heaped tablespoon custard powder
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
METHOD
Heat milk on stove or in microwave. Make a paste with the remaining ingredients.
Add to milk and boil till thick. Remember to continue whisking to avoid lumps.
Allow custard to cool down abit. Divide into 2 and colour 1 part green and the other pink. Layer the biscuit using the custard. Crumb leftover biscuit on top and sprinkle flake. You can even pour nestle cream over.
Allow to set for a few hours in refrigerator before serving.
