INGREDIENTS
½ kg ribeye steak cut into almost like shredded pieces / rump steak
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
½ teaspoon ground green chilli
1 teaspoon portueguese spice / steak and chop spice
½ teaspoon crushed black pepper
½ teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon crushed red chilli .
1 tablespoon vinegar
Slice cheese
3 onions
Peppers
Rolls - buttered and lightly toasted
Spurs BBQ sauce
Spurs salad dressing
METHOD
In shallow oil start frying sliced onions and peppers until soften not browned
In a saucepan add the steak with all the spices and cook until tender . On low heat Start dividing cooked steak into portions to fit into individual rolls . Now add a good amount of onions on every portion that you made , then cut the slice cheese into 2 and place that on top of the onions on each portion . Close the saucepan with the lid allow cheese to melt . Take a lifter and lift each portion carefully and place into the roll .
Most philly cheese steak doesn't include sauce but if you don't like dry sandwiches add these sauces , it's amazing .
Serve with salad and chips .
INFO & TIPS
You can make just pepper steak or any steak of your choice .
Ribeye highly recommended for this recipe .
