INGREDIENTS
½ kg steak mince washed 1 onion chopped 1 red, yellow and green pepper chopped or any1 1 teaspoon garlic 1 teaspoon ginger 1 teaspoon red chilli paste 1 tablespoon taco spice ( by cape herb and spice ) 1 teaspoon salt 1 ½ teaspoon dhana powder ½ teaspoon jeera powder ½ teaspoon haldi Spring onion ( a good handful ) Squeeze of fresh lemon Crushed red chillies ( depending on how spicy you eat )
3 tomatoes puréed in machine 1 big sachet tomato paste
Grated cheese Optional : Taco shells Jalapenos Avo Sour cream
METHOD
In a skillet add some oil as well as the onion and peppers and allow this to soften add the ginger , garlic and red chilli paste get the aroma and add the mince and on low heat allow this to cook for 5 minutes.Add the spices as well as the tomatoes and paste mix well and allow All this to cook add just a ¼ cup water after the tomato water burns out and allow this to simmer until water burns out . Before serving add grated cheese and spring onion close with a lid and allow cheese to melt .
This is ready Serve with roti Vetkoek Crisp Or use this mince in a taco shell top with avo , sour crea. And jalapenos
