For the ball : ½ grated cabbage 1 tablespoon garlic 1 teaspoon ginger 1 teaspoon ground green chilli 1 tablespoon Chinese salt 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoon Maggie chilli garlic sauce 2 tablespoon soya sauce 1 teaspoon corn flour 1 cup cake flour
Oil for deep frying
Stir fry : Handful fine cabbage 1 onion sliced 1 green pepper sliced Handful spring onion 4 tablespoon chilli sauce 4 tablespoon soya sauce 1 tablespoon corn flour and water to make a paste
Heat up the oil In the meantime Mix together all the ingredients for the monchow balls , do not add any water . Add 1 tablespoon of the mix to oil for. Good size ball . Fry until brown . Set this aside .
In a wok add some oil add the onions and fry until golden , now add the cabbage , peppers and spring onion , stir fry for 5 minutes add the sauce simmer . Add the prepared monchow balls , toss . Add the corn flour paste to thicken and serve immediately .
P.s when you making the stir fry u can add boiled spagetti , double the sauce quantity and make it a monchow CHOWMEIN as well .
