INGREDIENTS
For the Baklava:
1 roll phyllo pastry
ghee (Clarified butter) (Clarified butter) for coating
For Syrup:
1 cup sugar
3⁄4 cup water
2 tablespoon golden syrup
Toppping:
mixed nuts and dates & glazed cherries
METHOD
Take sheets of Phyllo pastry and roll like Swiss roll. Cut into ½ centimeter slices. Loosen the ribbon and make sure they covered with damp cloth so they don't dry out
Make nests with the phyllo ribbons into muffin pans. Drizzle with melted ghee (Clarified butter) and bake till golden brown
Syrup
Boil water, sugar & golden syrup in a saucepan
Top Baklavas with mixed nuts and dates. Pour syrup over each one. Then decorate with cherries & nuts
