INGREDIENTS
2 cups sugar
1 cup water...(rose water If you want)
1 teaspoon ghee (Clarified butter) or butter
1 teaspoon rose essence
1 teaspoon crushed Elachi (cardomom)
3 cups dessicated coconut
almonds to decorate
food colouring (optional)
for a more richer TASTE ADD ¼ tin nestle dessert cream
METHOD
boil the sugar and water together to make a thick stringy syrup.add colouring and rose essence add butter then .. add coconut and crushed Elachi (cardomom)..mix on stove till thick ...set in a lined casserole or make blocks when slight cool,for two tone colouring put the coconut mixture in seperate bowls and add colouring of choice and layer by flatting the one clour and then placing the other on top...flatten leave ut plain or decorate with coloured almonds or little coloured coconut
