INGREDIENTS
Ingredients:
250g Butter or Margarine
¾ cup icing sugar
1 egg Yolk
1 level teaspoon baking powder
2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
METHOD
Method:
Mix butter and icing sugar in an electric mixer or by hand, add egg yolk and vanilla essence, beat for 2 minutes, then fold in baking powder and enough flour to make a very soft dough. Pipe through a large star nozzle to make either rosettes of fingers directly on to tray 2cm apart. place a piece of cherry or smarties on each rosette ( if you piped fingers dipped the ends in chocolate after its baked and cooled completely).Bake at 160 deg Celsius for 10-15 minutes until light and brown. Cool on wire rack until ready to be dipped in hot tea!
