For Syrup - Bring to boil until sticky the following:
3 cups sugar
2 cups water
Add Elachi (cardomom) powder as u like (I add 1⁄2 a teaspoon)
1⁄2 teaspoon saffron (optional)
Mix together condense, ghee (Clarified butter), egg, Elachi (cardomom) and baking powder
Add flour to make a soft dough
Shape into long fingers
Fry on a medium low heat allowing the goolab jamuns to crack open a bit and rise.
Cook until done or golden brown.
Drain and soak in syrup.
