2 cups sugar
4 cups water
Saffron strands and ground cardamom to taste (You may need more syrup) Syrup musnt be very thick.
1 cup klim powder
1 1⁄2 tablespoon samolina
1 tablespoon self rising flour
3 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
5 tablespoon oil and ghee (Clarified butter) mixed
3 tablespoon milk
Mix above 3 together and bind to dry ingredients with a spoon..don't use hands as it makes dough soft..form marble size balls and fry in medium oil..drain on kitchen paper..cook syrup abit in shallow pot and add fried balls and cook on medium until balls swell and feel spongy..cool completely before removing from pot as it will spoil shape of gulab jamun..
