1 cup white cashews soaked in water overnight
1 onion finely chopped
½ teaspoon ginger garlic paste
ground green chili
1 teaspoon dhana powder
1 teaspoon jeera powder
1 teaspoon Soumph (Fennel) powder
¼ to ½ teaspoon haldi
1 can coconut milk
The cashews at this point should be super soft . if not then place in a pressure cooker 2 whistles .
in a pan or pot add some oil and the chopped onions and allow this to cook until translucent . add the ginger garlic paste as well as the gound green chili and braise until you get the aroma . now add in the soften cashews as well as the remaining spices and braise atleast 10 minutes on low heat .
lastly add the coocnut milk and on low allow the flavours to infuse add little water if neccesary .
serve with red masala fried fish or eat it just like that with roti
