INGREDIENTS
1 chicken - cut, washed and drained 1 large clove garlic, minced 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon red masala 1 sachet tomato paste 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon ground almond
Potato :3 medium potatoes cubed 1 green chilli ½ teaspoon jeeru (cumin) seeds ½ teaspoon mustard seeds 1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon arad (Turmeric) ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper Dash lemon juice ¼ cup water Curry leaves
Butternut :1 butternut cut into chunks 1 teaspoon lemon pepper Salt to taste ½ cup water
METHOD
Chicken...
Marinate chicken with spices
Heat pot with 2 tablespoon ghee (Clarified butter), cinnamon stick, Elachi (cardomom) and few strands saffron.
Add chicken cook until done.
Potato...
Heat 2 tablespoon ghee (Clarified butter), with chilli, jeeru (cumin), mustard seeds and curry leaves. Braise few minutes.
Add potato with rest of spice.
Add water, cook until done.
Butternut...
Season and steam butternut until tender.
Use a fork to mash.
INFO & TIPS
Serve with hot Roti
