INGREDIENTS
4 cups cake flour4 teaspoon baking powder½ teaspoon salt4 tablespoon ordinary sugar1 teaspoon whole Soumph (Fennel)/ or Jeeru (Cumin) seeds250g butter2 eggs+/- ¾ cup milkBeaten egg for brushingSesame seeds
METHOD
Sift together flour and baking powder. Add salt, sugar and Jeeru (Cumin). Mix in.Rub in butter and form "crumb" texture.Mix eggs and milk and add to flour.If too dry, add more milk.Form a soft rollable dough.Either roll into rounds or flat and cut rectangles, brush with egg and sprinkle sesame seeds.Bake in preheated oven at 160degC until puffed and golden.
