NASEEMA KHAN LADYSMITH'S RECIPES

RECIPE

1 can condensed milk
Add 2 eggs beaten
Add few drops of vanilla
And or..Elachi (cardomom) essence
1 teaspoon crushed Elachi (cardomom)
1⁄4 teaspoon Bicarb
1⁄4 teaspoon baking pwdr
1⁄2 cup desicated coconut
Beat well together seperately in bowl

In seperate dish
add +- 2 1⁄2 - 3 cups flour
3 tablespoon melted ghee (Clarified butter)
Rub well to flour
Add
2 teaspoon baking powder
Mix well all the dry ingredients
With the condensed mixture
Make a soft dough
U may need more flour

Roll out finger length jambo shape
Fry in medium to hot oil

Dip in syrup..
4 cups water 2 1⁄2 cups sugar with rose essence and cinnamon stick
Make syrup to a slight thickish thread
Dip jamboos in syrup and dust dessicated coconut on it

Tip: you can omit egg and the coconut from the condensed muxture
But add 1 tablespoon soji (semolina)

If mixture requires more liquid
Then add a bit of water to the condensed tin ..
