INGREDIENTS
DOUGH:
5 cups cake flour
15ml yeast
5ml salt
45ml oil
15ml sugar
500ml warm water
FILLING:
500ml grated cheddar cheese
1 red pepper (finely chopped)
1 green pepper (finely chopped)
1 yellow pepper (finely chopped)
half bunch of chives (chopped)
125ml chopped black or green olives
1 egg (to glaze)
METHOD
Combine dough ingredients & mix. Add
extra flour & knead dough until smooth
& elastic. Cover & allow to rise for 1
hour.
Roll dough to a rectangular shape (1cm
thick). Cut horizontally in half then
cut each half into triangles.
Sprinkle cheese, peppers, chives &
olives over the dough. Roll up each
triangle from the base towards the
point. Place crescents on greased
baking pan & brush with egg. Allow to
rise 40 minutes. Bake @ 220*C for 15 minutes
or until golden.
