RECIPE
Note: This recipe gets you
Roughly 7 doz moons
So lessen the quantity of the filling.
1 Kg or 4-5 chicken cubed fillets or 1 kg Steak cubes
2 medium onions
( chopped sauted in 3-4 tablespoon butter)
½ teaspoon garlic
2 teaspoon dhana Jeeru (Cumin)
½ teaspoon ginger garlic
1 teaspoon haldi (turmeric)
1 tablespoon Crushed Red chillies
1 teaspoon whole Jeeru (Cumin) (optional)
1 teaspoon salt..( adjust taste later )
Saute onion in butter add whole Jeeru (Cumin) (optional)
Add the chicken / steak
cubes stir till it changes creamy colour
Add rest of the ingredients and cook till chicken/ steak is soft (add water to steak if necessary to soften)
Cook a bit dry not too saucy
Add lots grated cheese . when filling is cold
And Chopped green dhania (coriander)
OPTIONAL:
Add
1 Cup steamed mixed veges or sweet corn can be added to the mixture.
Also
(… 1 teaspoon lemon juice or mayonnaise can be added )
Method for the Dough:
In a pot on stove add
6 cups water (bring to boil) with
6 tablespoon butter
3 teaspoon salt
Gradually add +- 6 cups flour
stir quickly till the dough forms into a soft lump.
Remove from stove.
Remove from stove.
Roll out dough cut into rounds
Place filling in centre
(Optional: you can use Flour paste to seal if you want)
Seal properly dip in beaten eggs
Roll in bread crumbs

This can be frozen at this stage.

Fry in medium hot oil when required.
Enjoy with chutney
