INGREDIENTS
Base-125g butter2 cups flour1⁄2 cup white sugar1 tablespoon baking powderpinch of salt1 egg
Ingredients: -Filling2 cups milk1⁄4 cup white sugar2-3 sticks cinnamon1 tablespoon flour1 tablespoon maizena (corn flour) 1 tablespoon custard powder1 tablespoon buttercinnamon powder for sprinkling
METHOD
Base-Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Mix butter & sugar in bowl until light & fluffy. Add egg, flour, baking powder & salt. Mix well and knead to a pliable dough. Roll out into a circle & line the inside of the foil baking tray with the dough. Bake in oven until light brown. Remove & allow to cool.
Filling-Dilute the maizena (corn flour), flour & custard powder in milk & leave aside. Add butter, sugar & cinnamon sticks in to a pot & stir until butter melts. Add the milk mixture into the pot. Keep stirring until mixture thickens. Remove from stove. Remove the cinnamon sticks & pour mixture into baked base. Sprinkle cinnamon on top & refrigerate. Serve chilled.
