INGREDIENTS
Ingredients
Base:@woolworths_sa choc chip crunchies about 400 - 500g2 tablespoon melted butter
Crush Biscuits, combine with butter and press into greased Pyrex or casserole dish. I used a 25cm round dish. Bake 180deg for about 10 minutes.
Filling:
1 litre milk1 and ½ tablespoon butter3 tablespoon Flour3 tablespoon maizena (corn flour)(cornflour)¾ cup sugar3 eggsElachie or cardamom powder
METHOD
1.bring milk and butter to boil in big enough pot or saucepan.2.while milk boiling, make a paste by beating the rest of the ingredients together.3. Remove boiled milk and add paste to milk mixture. Stir continuously or use a handheld beater to avoid lumps and get a smooth texture.4.pour filling into the baked base and refrigerate for atleast 2hours..sprinkle. Cocoa powder on top.. Tastes even better if prepared the day before... As then some of the filling seeps through the biscuit base and you get three layers. A Smooth filling, melt in your mouth base and then a crispy base.
