250 g butter 250g Chopped seeded dates 1 teaspoon vanilla essence ¼ cup sugar Melt in pot on stove When date's are soft and mushy Add 1 cup dessicated coconut Gradually add +-2-3 cups rice crispies Mix well so date's are well mixed with the rice crispies (add more if necessary) Put in foiled lined casserole Flatten and press the mixture well Sprinkle coconut on top Refrigerate to set firm Cut in squares enjoy
