Greek Chicken Gyros with Tzaziki Rec & pic:- @mubina_18
1 kg chicken fillets cut into long strips Marinade with 3 large garlic cloves , minced 1 tablespoon vinegar (I used applesider vinegar) 3 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon olive oil 3 tablespoon Greek yoghurt 1 ½ tablespoon dried oregano 1 teaspoon salt Black pepper 1 teaspoon lemon pepper Mixed herbs 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper Place the Marinade ingredients in a ziplock bag and mix. Add the chicken into the ziplock bag and massage to cover all the chicken in the Marinade. Marinate for at least 2 hours. heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a fry pan over medium high heat. Remove chicken from Marinade. Cook the chicken for 5-10 minutes. Keep stirring. Remove the chicken from the fry pan onto a plate. Cover loosely with foil and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Tzatziki 1 cucumbers 1 cups plain Greek yoghurt 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon olive oil 1-2garlic clove , minced ½ teaspoon salt Black pepper Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise. grate the cucumber. squeeze to remove excess liquid. Place cucumber in a bowl. Add remaining ingredients then mix to combine. Leave aside. Salad 3 tomatoes , desseeded and diced 3 cucumbers , diced ½ red onion,finely chopped ¼ cup fresh parsley leaves Salt and pepper Lemon juice Mix all ingredients together in bowl.
Get a pita bread or flatbread place it on a piece of baking paper. U could use foil. Place some Salad down the middle of the bread, then top with chicken and Tzatziki. Roll the wrap up. enclosing it with the parchment paper.serve immediately. Serve with spicy potato chips. 😊
