INGREDIENTS
350g self raising flour Pinch of salt 2 ½ tablespoon castor sugar2 teaspoon baking powder 125g butter1 extra large egg150ml buttermilk
METHOD
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt in a dish. Add in castor sugar. Grate in butter and rub into the flour to resemble bread crumbs. Mix together egg and buttermilk and into the flour Mix gently do not knead the dough it just needs to be brought together. Adjust with flour or buttermilk to get the right consistency. Roll out a bit thick and cut out scones using a round fluted cutter. Place on baking tray and brush with egg. U should get about 10 scones.Bake at 220 for around 7 minutes and drop to 180 and bake for another 7 minutesEnjoy 🌟
