1 cup castor sugar
1⁄4 cup cocoa
1⁄2 cup boiling water
1⁄4 cup oil
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 cups flour
Mix boiling water and cocoa and leave to cool
Whisk eggs and sugar till light and fluffy then add in oil.
Add vanilla essence to the cocoa and alternate with flour and baking powder.
Bake at 180 in oven till skewer comes out clean.
It’s a simple dessert to make only hassle I had was trying to find the right Black Forest topping/filling. I tasted a few but ended up using woolies strawberry jam. I baked a chocolate sponge and layered it with fresh cream and strawberry jam
