1kg steak mince
1 onion
3 tomatoes
3 potatoes
1 ¼ tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon chilli powder
½ tablespoon aradh
3 tablespoon dhana jeeru (cumin)
1 ½ tablespoon ginger garlic
½ cup fried onions
¼ cup lemon juice
⅓ cup sour milk
½ teaspoon peppercorns
2 cloves
5 Elachi (cardomom) pods
5 Taj sticks
1 teaspoon jeeru (cumin)
Pinch saffron
2 cups frozen peas
2 green chillies
3 cups rice
Wash and drain mince.
Boil rice with 4 tablespoon salt and ¼ tablespoon aradh, strain and leave aside
Peel and cube potatoes and add a little egg yellow and fry
Braise onion with oil and when brown add in your mince. When water is almost dry add in your spice and leave to cook for about 10 minutes then add in your tomato and cook till almost dry.
When mince is cool add in your lemon juice, sour milk, chillies, Elachi (cardomom), peppercorns, Taj, saffron, cloves and jeeru (cumin), fried onions and 1 ½ cups peas.
Mix the balance of the peas into the rice
Layer rice first into your pot with a layer of mince on top and then your fried potatoes .. repeat these layers twice
