Chicken dhal1 chicken 2 cups oil dhal (soak in boiling water for an hour.Wash,boil till soft and strain with all the water)2 medium onions 4 tomatoes (liquidised)1 ½ tablespoon salt3 tablespoon Dhana Jeeru (Cumin)1 tablespoon chilli powder¼ tablespoon arad (Turmeric) 1 ½ teaspoon ginger garlicBraise onions in oil till brown.Add chicken.When chicken is cooked and soft add salt,dhana Jeeru (Cumin),chilli powder,arad (Turmeric) and ginger garlic.Simmer for about 5 minutes.Add tomatoes and 1 teaspoon Methi (Fenugreek) masala.Once tomato is cooked add dhal with boiling water and cook till foam disappears(keep adding boiling water if needed).Once dhal is cooked add vagaar.Vagaar2 cloves garlic cut into pieces3 whole green chillis1 teaspoon whole Jeeru (Cumin)1 tablespoon ghee (Clarified butter)Place all ingredients in a small frying pan and simmer on medium heat & add to dhal. Chop dhania (coriander) up fine and mix into dhall (lentils)
