RECIPE
1kg chicken fillet (big cubes)1 teaspoon ground ginger1 teaspoon ground garlic2 tablespoon lemon juice1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon turmeric1 tablespoon red masala1 large onion (sliced)1 teaspoon kulunji (onion) seeds1 teaspoon mustard seeds1 teaspoon Jeeru (Cumin) (cumin) seeds¼ teaspoon Methi (Fenugreek) seeds½ teaspoon fennel seeds1 teaspoon ani seeds3 tablespoon oil1 teaspoon rough red chillies1 teaspoon dhana Jeeru (Cumin) powder2 tablespoon Methi (Fenugreek) masala40g tomato paste3 large tomatoes (liquidized)1 teaspoon kasturi Methi (Fenugreek)250ml plain yoghurt
Method:1. Marinate chicken for 30min in lemon, ginger, garlic, red masala, salt & turmeric.2. Heat oil in a medium deep pot.3. Add onion, braise with all seeds until lightly golden.4. Add dhana Jeeru (Cumin), Methi (Fenugreek) masala & rough red chillies. Mix in.5. Add chicken & braise till chicken has turned white.6. Add kasturi Methi (Fenugreek), tomatoes & tomato paste. Mix in.7. Allow to simmer for 15min.8. Add in yoghurt.9. Simmer for further 10min. 10. Serve with basmati rice, naan bread or roti.
