Achaari Chicken

Ingredients:
1kg chicken fillet (big cubes)
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground garlic
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon red masala
1 large onion (sliced)
1 teaspoon kulunji (onion) seeds
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon Jeeru (Cumin) (cumin) seeds
¼ teaspoon Methi (Fenugreek) seeds
½ teaspoon fennel seeds
1 teaspoon ani seeds
3 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon rough red chillies
1 teaspoon dhana Jeeru (Cumin) powder
2 tablespoon Methi (Fenugreek) masala
40g tomato paste
3 large tomatoes (liquidized)
1 teaspoon kasturi Methi (Fenugreek)
250ml plain yoghurt
Method:
1. Marinate chicken for 30min in lemon, ginger, garlic, red masala, salt & turmeric.
2. Heat oil in a medium deep pot.
3. Add onion, braise with all seeds until lightly golden.
4. Add dhana Jeeru (Cumin), Methi (Fenugreek) masala & rough red chillies. Mix in.
5. Add chicken & braise till chicken has turned white.
6. Add kasturi Methi (Fenugreek), tomatoes & tomato paste. Mix in.
7. Allow to simmer for 15min.
8. Add in yoghurt.
9. Simmer for further 10min.
10. Serve with basmati rice, naan bread or roti.
