INGREDIENTS
1 cup chickpeas soaked over night half onion chopped 2 potatoes salt
Aamli sauce :imli (tamerine) (Tamarind ) sauce :1 packet imli (tamerine) (tamarind ) pulp soaked in hot water .1 teaspoon ginger garlic 1⁄2 teaspoon red chilli paste 1 teaspoon dhana powder 1 teaspoon jeera powder salt haldi 2 tablespoon l sugar
In a pot add the imli (tamerine)( tamarind ) that you strained ( make sure theirs no seeds and fiber ) and water to make runny and all the spices and bring to boil . adjust sweetness with more or less sugar and ghor (molasses)
serve with :chopped dhania (coriander) chopped red onions fried pur cut off
METHOD
In a pressure cooker if you have 1 , add the chickpeas onions and potato
add some water 1 to 2 cups
allow this to soften about 4 whistles .
cool it if their is alot water left throw out some .
squeeze 1 whole lemon
add some chili powder
salt .
if you dnt have a pressure cooker
boil chickpeas and onion with salt in 1 pot
boil potato in another
Eat with a good amount of the aamli sauce
add dhania (coriander)
