-250g dried figs -½ cup vinegar -1 cup sugar -¼ bottle amli (tamerine) sauce (east end) -1 tablespoon coarse red chilli flakes -1 teaspoon Methi (Fenugreek) masala -1 teaspoon fine red chilli powder -1 tablespoon mustard powder
1.)clean figs and soak overnight in cold water. Drain and cut off the ends of the stems. Keep aside. 2.)boil the vinegar and sugar on medium heat till the sugar is melted and a syrup is formed. 3.)remove from cooker and add the coarse chilli,fine chilli,Methi (Fenugreek) masala mustard powder and amli (tamerine) sauce and mix well. 4.)lastly add the figs to this and mix well,leave Figs to soak in the syrup overnight.
