Yellow Butter ChickenA.k.a My Diner's Butter Chicken

Ingredients:1kg chicken fillet (cubed)4 Tablespoon butter1 tablespoon crushed garlic/ paste½ teaspoon ginger pastePinch saffron threads1 teaspoon salt1⁄2 teaspoon white pepper1 teaspoon coriander powder1 teaspoon cumin powder 1 teaspoon ground green chillies1 cup Woolworths double cream yoghurt155g tin cooking cream or 1 cup fresh cream2 tablespoon cashew nut powder (optional)1⁄4 teaspoon yellow powder food colouring or few teaspoon liquid egg-yellow colouring1 tablespoon lemon juice1-2 teaspoon sugar1-2 tablespoon tomato paste (optional)Fist fresh coriander (chopped)
METHOD
1. Heat butter, add garlic, chillies & spices.2. Add chicken and cook until half done.3. Then add tomato paste, yoghurt, cream, cashew nut powder, sugar, saffron & coloring.4. Allow chicken to cook through and sauce to thicken. Add dash of lemon.5. Garnish with chopped dhania (coriander).#mamataughtmewellrecipes
Note: If you would prefer to use milk and fresh cream you may substitute with 1 cup cream and 1 ½ cups milk with 2 tablespoon corn flour.
INFO & TIPS
Serve with roti/ roghni naan/ rice.
