Passion Fruit Tarlets Recipe & Pic by Sumi Step one ¼ pound butter¼ cup castor sugar1 egg2 teaspoon baking powder+- 2 cups flour Mix butter & sugar till creamy. Add egg. Put 1 cup flour with the baking powder & mix well. Add the rest of flour gradually to make a soft dough.Roll out cut with a square cutter put in Tart pan & bake @180 & bake until golden brown. Remove allow to cool. Step 2 Take 2 Passion Fruit / Granadillas cut them in half. Scrape out the pulp into a sieve over a bowl. Rub the pulp through the sieve discard the seeds. Use 3 teaspoon of this juice in the filling. Topping. Use 4 or more Granadillas cut them in half. sweeten with castor sugar according your taste. Keep aside for topping.
Cream cheese filling 1 tub cream cheese ½ cup butter room temperature 4 cups icing sugar 3 teaspoon passion fruit juice Beat cream cheese, butter & passion fruit juice in a mixer until well blended. Add in 1 cup icing sugar at a time & continue to mix. Pipe filling into prepared shells. Decorate with crushed pistas & Granadilla pulp.
