INGREDIENTS
Tomatoes ½ Kg Onion 1 medium choppedCrushed ginger and garlic about 2 teaspoon Bayleaf*, *whole black pepper* * and* *cinnamon stick..White pepper pd Kashmiri chilli pd SaltOilButterWater/stock SugarTomato ketchupCorn flour Milk
METHOD
🍅 Tomato soup 🍲 🍲Perfecto for the cold days or any day .That soup looks so tantalising and delicious and with that bread to go oh yum ....
Heat the oil and butter in a deep pot and add bay leaf, cinnamon stick and whole black pepper , when release it's aroma add chopped onion and cruhed ginger and garlic sauté till onion becomes soft and translucent.then add chopped tomatoes ½ kg mix well and add seasonings ( white pepper pd, kashmiri chilli pd and salt )give a good stir and add 4 - 5 cups of stock / water..mix well and bring to boil..
When it starts to boil cover with d lid and cook for about 20 - 25 minutes on low flame...Cool completely* . *Remove bay leaf and cinnamon stick and liquidise d whole mixture to a smooth puree*. *Pass through sieve and strain d mixture well using spoon and discard d left over in d sieve.* *Add water if mixture is thick.Add sugar , ketch up and adjust salt ....
Dissolve 2 tablespoon cornflour in little water and add it to the soup stir well* .*Add ½ cup milk.Put d soup pot on d flame and cook stirring constantly till boil comes , let it simmer for 6 - 8 minutes....Serve tomato soup with garlic croutons..Absolutely healthy and yummy*.....*Fatima Shakir Bobat
