INGREDIENTS
Crust 2 ½ cups flour 2 tablespoon sugar ½ teaspoon salt ½ cup oil½ cup milkAdd flour, sugar and salt in a bowl. Whisk together with a fork. Mix oil and milk together and add to flour to make a dough.
Filling 8 apples 3 tablespoon flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 cup sugar 2 tablespoon butter
METHOD
Peel apples. Core and slice or cube. Mix cinnamon and sugar into apples. Divide dough into 2 parts. Roll out the first part and place into a greased pie dish and add your apple mixture. Put pieces of butter here and there on top of the apples. Roll the second part of dough and cover the apples. Pinch the ends of the pie. Whisk egg and a little milk together and brush over pie. Sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar on top of the pie. Poke holes with a fork for air to escape. Bake at 190 for about 25 minutes and then lower the heat to 160 and bake for a further 25 minutes. Please place a tray under the pie because a little of the filling might ooze out. Cover the ends of the pie with foil (see last image) to avoid the sides from browning fast. You can remove the foil after the first 25 minutes.
