INGREDIENTS
400g roll puff pastryApricot jam
Filling1 cup dates (finely chopped)½ cup pecan (finely chopped)½ cup dessicated coconut2 tablespoon condensed
1 egg (beaten)Extra jam (warm)Pecan nuts (chopped)
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 200°C- Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface until 5mm thick- Spread a thin layer of jam on one half.- Combine the filling ingredients together and spread it on the jam- Fold the pastry into half to sandwich filling inside- Brush with egg and slice into strips- Twist each end into opposite direction - Place on a grease tray and bake till golden- Remove from oven and brush with warm jam and extra pecan if needed
