INGREDIENTS
280 g flour60 g sugar20 ml oil100 ml warm milk50 ml water2 ½ teaspoon yeast½ teaspoon saltChocolate chips to taste1 egg (for brushing)
METHOD
- Mix milk, water, oil and yeast together- In a bowl mix flour and sugar together- Add the liquid to the bowl of flour, mix with the spatula then mix by hand.- While mixing add the salt and mix till smooth- Add the chocolate chips and knead it in. - leave it to rest for 2 hours (or double its size)- form small balls of dough ( +-8-10 balls) and place them in a buttered pan / dish to have like a pull apart bread or you can place them apart on a buttered baking tray.- Rest it for 20-30mn. Brush with beaten egg then bake it in a 180°C preheated oven for 20-25mn- Take out and enjoy.
INFO & TIPS
— One tip to make it more perfect =>
1) put the chocolate chips in the freezer 10mns before using so it does not melt while mixing in the dough
2) after letting the dough to rise then put in a fridge for it to be cold and so that the choc chips dont melt while forming the balls.
[ I didnt do those tips and my choc chips didnt really "melt" so it can be skipped ]
- if you eat it the next day or so, warm it for 10 second in the microwave it will be softer again
