INGREDIENTS
1.5 cups all-purpose flour1 tablespoon baking powder½ teaspoon salt¼ teaspoon black pepper1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded¼ cup onions, finely chopped1 cup milk¼ cup vegetable oil1 large eggchopped chiveschopped garlicdried herbs of your choice
METHOD
Preheat oven to 180°C.In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped onions.In another bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil, and egg.Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.Pour the batter into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
