INGREDIENTS
Steak filling-500g topside steak (pieces)1 onion (sliced)1 piece taj½ tablespoon red ginger garlic masala1 teaspoon dhana jeeroo powder¼ teaspoon turmeric powder1 teaspoon salt1 ½ teaspoon chilli powder½ teaspoon lemon pepper1 teaspoon mustard powder1 tablespoon brown vinegar1 tablespoon tomato sauce1 tablespoon mustard sauce3 tomatoes (liquidized)
Also needed-Sliced cheese3 large potatoes (cut into fat chips)Salt and chilli powder (to taste)Tomato sauceWhite sliced BreadMargarine
METHOD
1. Braise onion with taj until golden. Add masala and spices, braise till fragrant.2. Add steak, mustard powder and vinegar and coat well.3. Cook till no water remains. Add more water if needed to cook till steak is tender.4. Then add tomatoes and sauces.5. Cook until a thickened gravy has formed. Remove taj.6. Fry chips. Season with salt and chilli powder.7. On bread drizzle tomato sauce. Place chips, sliced cheese.8. Shred the steak and spoon onto cheese, spoon on gravy. 9. Drizzle more tomato sauce and close sandwich with another slice of bread.10. Spread margarine on both outer sides of sandwich. 11. Heat a pan, and place sandwich down. Allow the one side to become golden brown and crispy, then flip. 12. Repeat process on other side and serve hot.
