INGREDIENTS
Bread : 3 cups flour 1 ¼ teaspoon yeast 1 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt 250ml warm milk 110ml oil
Cardamon egg wash 1 egg 1 tablespoon rainbow 🌈 milk ½ teaspoon cardamon powder ( I used only a pinch ) ½ teaspoon tea masala ( I used only a pinch ) 1 teaspoon brown sugar
Topping : 20 dates chopped Sliced almonds Ground pista (pistachio nuts) Kulunji seeds Sesame seeds
METHOD
Bread : Mix dry ingredients together Pour in milk and oil Light mix this together with a wooden spoon Using a dough hook knead f dough Roll into a round ball and place into a grease bowl, cling and leave it to rise in a warm area u til double it’s size Once risen divide the dough into 2 and roll into rectangle shape and place on a baking tray , cover and allow to rise for another 20 minutes Using your fingers , 1 cm from the edge create an indent border and dock hole in the middle Brush with the cardamon egg wash Press dates into the holes Press almonds Sprinkle the seeds and pista (pistachio nuts) on the edges Sprinkle abit of Dukkah ( I omitted ) Bake on 200 degrees for 20 minutes ( I baked at 180 degrees ) Slice into squares Serve with labneh
