Date, Flake And Nut Cake

INGREDIENTS

• 180g butter• 1 cup brown sugar• 2 eggs• ¼ cup hot chocolate powder• 250g chopped dates @madinadatefarms• 1 teaspoon baking powder• 1 cup water • 1 teaspoon bicarb of soda• 1 ¾ cups flour• 1 teaspoon baking powder• 1 cup pecan nuts• ½ cup flake chocolate- crushed

METHOD

1. Soak dated with bicarb and water 2. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and beat further3. Add flour, baking powder, and hot chocolate powder 4. Stir in soaked dates5. Sprinkle nuts and flake over batter before baking6. Bake at 160° for 45 minutes
