For the chicken nuggets½ kg chicken fillet (cubed)Salt to tasteRed chilli powderPinch of arad (Turmeric) Garlic (crushed or paste)1 teaspoon peri peri salt3 tblspns yoghurt3 teaspoon lemon juice (bottled)¼ cup chana flour½ cup plain flour 1 teaspoon baking powderChopped springonions For the cheese sauce½ cup grated cheese¼ cup single cream¼ teaspoon paprika powderSalt to tastePepper to tastePinch of arad (Turmeric) For GarnishingPickled JalapeñosChopped spring onions Heinz Mexican Style Firecracker Sauce (optional)
1.) Marinate the chicken with all of the ingredients until all the pieces are coated in the batter and keep aside.2.) Heat oil and add chicken to it - Deep Fry on medium heat till golden brown- remove from oil and transfer to a colander to drain- then place on a serving plate.3.) In a non-stick pot, add the single cream, cheese, salt, pepper, arad (Turmeric) and paprika powder and mix well (cook on low heat till sauce thickens). 4.) Remove from the sauce from the cooker and spoon it over the fried chicken nuggets (top with Heinz Mexican style firecracker sauce-optional).5.) Garnish with pickled jalapeños and chopped spring onions.6.) Serve immediately (I served mine with baked curly fries).
