INGREDIENTS
2 cups brown rice
2 and half cups sugar
2 tablespoon solid ghee (Clarified butter)
Half tablespoon lemon juice
Half cup mandarin or orange juice
1 med pineapple peeled and cubed
Half cup white sultanas
3 cArdamon
2 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 teaspoon saffron
Half teaspoon tumric powder
METHOD
Boil the rice wit tumric powder for 25_30 minutes. Drain and set asde. Mix the juice ,pineapple,sugar and bring to boil. Add rice. Heat ghee (Clarified butter) add sultanas cinnamon stick cloves cardamom saffron and braise. Add to rice. Steam on low heat for 35_40 minutes serve garnished wit slivered almonds.
