For the Steak:1 kg fillet steak1 teaspoon salt½ teaspoon red chilli powder ½ teaspoon black pepper2 teaspoon green chilli1 teaspoon ginger garlic1 -2 teaspoon vinegar5 teaspoon peri peri sauce9 tablespoon BBQ sauce Marinate steak with all of the above ingredients. Other ingredients:5 tblspns tomato sauce1 teaspoon soft brown sugar Green chilli slicesButter
1.) Marinate steak with all of the above ingredients. Remove the steak from marinade and fry in butter. Use the rest of the marinade to make the sauce.2.) In another pot, melt some butter, add the leftover marinade and boil until it thickens slightly then add the tomato sauce and brown sugar and boil again till the sauce is thick and glossy.3.) Place the hot steak on your serving board, top with the sauce and sliced green chilles.6.) Serve as desired.7.) I served mine with mash potato, spicy sweetcorn and steak extra sauce for the mash.
INFO & TIPS
For the sweetcorn I emptied one tin of sweetcorn with its water in a pan, added butter, lemon juice, salt and chilli powder and left to steam until dry.
