2 cups (500ml) full cream milk1 big tin Nestlé dessert cream 1 tablespoon maizena (corn flour) (cornflour) mixed in a little milk ½ teaspoon cardamom (Elachi (cardomom)) powder A pinch of saffron (I boiled in water before adding it in the milk) 1 tin condensed milk chopped nuts of choice (I used pistachios) ½ cup pureed mango (optional - I omitted it)rose essence (optional)
Bring to a boil the milk, cream, condense milk, maizena (corn flour) mix, saffron and cardamom powder. (I whisked it while it was heating up). Once it boils remove from heat immediately and add nuts and mango puree. Give it a good mix and cool then pour in moulds and freeze for 6 hrs. (I mixed it every hour or 2 so that the texture once frozen is better - a tip I learnt from @cardamom_pod)
