INGREDIENTS
-1 ½ cups chicken cubes-approx 25 binda (wash, cut, fry in oil, drain and keep aside)-½ onion (sliced)-whole jeeru (cumin)-curry leaves-1 ½ small plum tomatoes(grated) or the equivalent in passata-1 ¼ teaspoon salt- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder-½ teaspoon arad (Turmeric) -½ teaspoon dhana Jeeru (Cumin) powder- 1 ¼ teaspoon garlic paste -finely chopped coriander-oil-1 medium potato cut in cubes
METHOD
1.) Heat oil in a non stick pot-add onions, while jeeru (cumin) and curry leaves, cook till golden brown then add the tomato and spices.2.) Add the chicken and cook for 15mins on medium heat.3.) Add the potatoes & coriander and continue to cook on medium heat till chicken and potatoes are cooked through(+- 15mins depending on the size of the chicken and potato pieces) -a bit of boiled water can be added at this stage if desired- cook until dry.4.) Add the fried binda and steam on low heat for approx 5mins.5.) Serve with rotis.
