Step 1 Add to a pan:1 cup water2 tablespoon kashmiri chai leaves (I used any green tea leaves) 2 cinnamon sticks2 star anise4-5 cardamom podsBring it to a boil Step 2 Add in ⅛ teaspoon baking soda and boil again for 5 minutes. Use a spoon to scoop the liquid and then pour it back to help it get the pinky colour. After 5 minutes the water will be almost evaporated, now add:1 cup iced waterLet it get hot and keep scooping the liquid and pouring it back so it doesn’t loose its pink colour.
Pour in:1 ½ cup milk¼ cup fresh cream¼ teaspoon pink colour (optional so it gets pinker)¼ teaspoon salt2 tablespoon sugarAt this point don’t boil much or it will loose its colour. Step 3Strain the mixture into chai cups and add crushed almonds/pistachios and dry roses. Its soooo gooood!!! 💖
